Volunteer Opportunities

SWE-HA actively creates and participates in outreach events that support our mission to encourage young bright ladies in pursuing a career in STEM. We always welcome volunteers who can help with scholarship committee/judging, IAGTE Day, Girl Scouts Badge Day, and many other events. If you have any questions about the opportunities, please reach out to vp_outreach@houstonswe.org.

If you are looking for volunteers or speakers for your event, please reach out to vp_outreach@houstonswe.org.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day Registration Now Open!

The Society of Women Engineers Houston Area invites you to attend this year’s Introduce a Girl to Engineering Event (IAGTE)! IAGTE is an event providing interactive workshops established to help young girls (Grades 6 – 9) understand the opportunities available in the field of engineering.  This is a free event and will be held in person on the campus of the University of Houston – Downtown.

SWE-HA is holding its annual IAGTE event on Saturday, November 11th, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST.

If you are a Parent/Guardian or Educator who would like to sign up for our Parent/Educator program, you will need to register yourself separately from your Child/Student. For any educators or groups seeking additional help, please email iagte@houstonswe.org.

Parents/Educators, be sure to sign up for the Parent/Educator Program (PEP) during registration.

Parents, guardians, teachers, counselors, administrators, and leaders are encouraged to participate in the Parent Educator Program (PEP).
